The latest southwestern Pennsylvania prototype modeler meet is in the books! The 2025 RPM-East event was another success with 250 attendees spending their March 21st & 22nd on the Westmoreland County Community College campus in Youngwood, Pennsylvania.
We used three classrooms and an auditorium for 39 presentations. Some of these were offered twice across the event. Eight area model railroads kept busy with operating sessions the Thursday before. All of those layouts plus two more were open for a Sunday self-guided tour. The vendor room was full and pretty busy on Friday and Saturday. The RPM-East website has all of those details.
The model display room was full of models representing several eras, and scales from N to F. A couple of one-eighth-inch scale models were displayed outside of the model room. A gallery of images is available for review.
Special thanks for the RPM-East crew for all the hard work. Take a bow Steve Ross, Don Coulter, Andy Blenko, Richie Joden, Bob Dengler, Roy Ward, Ken Hanawalt, Don Coulter, Jr., Den Lippert, and Jerry Jordak.
Many thanks to all that attended the event, especially the speakers and those who brought amazing models to display. It seemed like I saw many more first-time RPM attendees this time around than I have in the past. It was great to see many new faces.
Attend a Railroad Prototype Modeler meet near you! There are plenty of events listed through October on the RPM Calendar.
