As the calendar moves ahead, it’s time for an update on prototype modeler events. The St Louis event was a big success. David Hussey has posted a gallery of photos from the St Louis meet. More events are scheduled in the next few months. Let’s take a look!
As we turn the corner to warmer months, several prototype modeler events are on the calendar. Check your schedule and grab a few friends to attend an upcoming prototype modeler event.
Mark up your calendar and choose a few models to display at the event. Consider taking your in-process work with notes on construction steps to share. Finished models are always welcome but the in-process work generates lots of conversations. Don’t miss an upcoming RPM event!

I recently returned from a couple weeks of travel back in the Mid-Atlantic Region. As mentioned here a couple posts ago, I attended the RPM Valley Forge event. After things closed up, several home layouts were open for a self-guided tour. I stopped by to visit a couple of layouts on my way out of town.
I have completed a 2000 mile journey to arrive in Malvern, PA to attend the 2016 RPM Valley Forge meet! Earlier today, I operated on Steve Salotti’s HO scale New York, Susquehanna & Western Railroad. I was there with a bunch of other RPM folks to put Steve’s layout through the paces. It was a great time running a couple of locals and switching diverse industries. The calendar swings around and several Railroad Prototype Modeler meets are on the horizon. Regular readers know I bang the drum for these events. Each meet offers a winning combination of prototype information, modeling techniques, and networking among other prototype modelers. I look forward to attending an RPM meet each year.
