RPM events

As February slips away and the countdown to spring begins, it’s time to check out the Railroad Prototype Modeler (RPM) calendar for several March and April events. I’ve been a fan of these events for many years as I enjoy the presentations, display models, and seeing friends. I return home all charged up for the next project.

I’ve posted several photo galleries from past RPM events to share the models on display. Many of the event websites include links to photo galleries chronicling activity from years gone by.

I’ve been a part of the RPM-East crew in metro Pittsburgh for over a decade. We are looking forward to the 2023 event in the Westmoreland County Community College student achievement center in Youngwood, PA, on March 24 & 25. The location is a couple of miles from the Pennsylvania Turnpike New Stanton interchange. The website features details on 39 presentations and the nine layouts open for operating sessions. It will be a busy couple of days and an opportunity to recharge your hobby batteries. The last day for the $35 early registration fee increases is March 3rd.

If an RPM event doesn’t fit your schedule or geographic area, a Hindsight 20/20 virtual RPM is set for March 4th via the Zoom meeting platform. The presentation schedule is posted above. You will need to register for the event in order to receive Zoom connection details. Registration is now open on the Speedwitch Media site. There is no cost for this virtual RPM, but registration is required. Tips are encouraged to help defray the Zoom charges. The details are noted on the website.

I hope you can attend an upcoming RPM event. I’m planning on a few for 2023. Maybe I’ll see you there!
